NEAL offers work in Civil Earthworks, Environmental works, building, fencing, Indigenous labour hire, grounds maintenance, arboreal services, land management and horticultural services. The mix of both Aboriginal and White Australians working closely together to achieve harmony and prosperity for all Australian Brothers and Sisters in the region. Our methodology for all company operations is to bring together Ngapaki (Western/European) disciplines and the knowledge systems of the Yolngu. A partnership was established with MEP (Miwatj Employment and Participation) in 2017 to create an employment pathway for Yolngu who want to move into full time employment. The program prepares participants for mainstream work environments so that they can use MEP activities as training for real jobs. Participants can transition into full time employment at their own pace through labour hire placements or paid work placements at N.E.A.L. Local businesses who can hire participants to fill short term labour shortages or as a trial before committing to full time employment. This program has taken the risk and cost away from local businesses who engage Yolngu employees. The success of the program is due to the cooperation between local organisations and Government.
North East Arnhem Land Aboriginal Corporation mowing services are typically provided on a weekly basis during the active growing season, our trained staff focuses on the details like straight eye-catching mowing stripes and evenly trimmed curbs.
We employ dedicated mowing crews that aren’t distracted by weeding or shrub trimming. We strive to keep a regular schedule so or customers know when their property will be mowed.
Our mowing service also includes seasonal clean up when leaves are blown out of landscape beds and accumulated leaves are removed from lawns and composted off site.

We supply labour hire candidates all over the Top End of the Northern Territory to clients like Rio Tinto, NT Governement, Local Shires and independant companies and contractors.
ALPA and N.E.A.L. has recently consolidated in delivering programs in remote homelands areas and engaging with people living in remote areas. Our Aboriginal Corporation has existing relationships, networks and corporate knowledge that will be able to be leveraged through this agreement to enhance program outcomes and CDP service delivery in remote homeland areas.
General Labourer
About the Role:
As we’re continuing to grow, NEAL now has new opportunities for general Labourers to assist on a range of landscaping and environmental projects. No experience is necessary as full training is provided, but we do require a good level of fitness, willingness to learn and a “can do” attitude. You’ll be completing a range of manual handling, environmental and landscape related tasks in a small team under the direction of a senior staff member. NEAL nurtures staff development and works on clear career pathways for employees. This is a casual, entry level position with the opportunity for permanency, further training, and career development for the right candidates.
