Timmy Murrmurrnga is a current chairman of the Yirrkala Dhanbul Aboriginal Corporation and formerly a director of the Laynhapuy Homelands Association. For several years Mr Burarrwanga has been actively involved in the management of cultural programs at the annual Garma Festival of Tradition Cultures held at the Gulkula site in East Arnhem Land.
